Lord Kalki, the tenth avatar of Lord Vishnu is yet to transcend to earth. Although his arrival is still a matter of mystery, he is predicted to reincarnate towards the end of this millennium or the beginning of the next. It is believed that the arrival of Kalki will mark the end of Kaliyuga and lead to the beginning of Satyuga.

Kavyamata, using her powerful yogic abilities, created a shield to protect the Asuras from harm. However, this frustrated the Devas and they went to Lord Vishnu, asking him to take charge.
